Asociatia YMCA Baia Mare

YMCA Baia Mare is a youth non-governmental, non-political and non-profit organisation constituted in 2001 and it is co-founder of the national YMCA movement – YMCA Romania Federation, part of YMCA Europe and World YMCA. Our aim is to develop nowadays society through empowerment of youth, consolidating communities according to the principles of democracy and human rights and increasing their involvement in conflict resolution and solving issues generated by multiculturality and diversity. We provide: national and international trainings for youth workers on different youth topics, camps for children, various workshops for youth, international exchanges, environmental activities, personal development trainings for our volunteers, social inclusion projects-working with Roma children. Since 2009 we are accredited as a sending, hosting and coordinating organization for the EVS programe. So far we have hosted and sent volunteers from various countries, all over Europe.
