CKU gives utmost importance to all kinds of international cooperations with the aim to improve volunteers' and students’ understanding of other cultures and education systems, providing them with a multicultural learning environment. In this context, specific emphasis is placed on EU Education and Training Programs, especially EVS and Erasmus. Participation in EVS is seen as a main tool to promote volunteer, student and academic mobility and to strengthen European ties towards inclusion in EHEA. The main strategic objectives of CKU are development and assurance of high quality research and teaching, internationalization and promotion of volunteer, student and staff mobility, promotion of international ties with partner institutions, involvement in European trends (ERA, EHEA), and contribution to social, cultural and economic life of the region. In line with this approach, CKU is committed to the Bologna Declaration and continually strengthens its capacity with regards to the implementation of Bologna principles in order to contribute to the accomplishment of a European higher education and research area. ECTS tables of all departments have already been completed and procedures related to Diploma Supplement will be finalized before the fall semester. Bologna Process aims at establishing European Higher Education Area until 2010. CKU has prepared its strategic plan to serve this aim. Efforts on institutional quality are still being carried out and strategic plan of the university will also be completed in 2009. The students studying in Karatekin University are lack of many activities such as going abroad, joining the international congress and other programmes. Because of the economic failure of our students, they can not manage to improve their skills and language. Most of our students have never been to abroad and their language is not good enough to get a good job in our country. We aim to send abroad both our students and the young people of Çankýrý who really need to get a good job and have a better life and have a good vision. We also would like to give young people opportunities to see the culture of the other countries and improve their social life and social mentality,also learn and use the other language in its culture. We want to help them to improve their skills of every aspects of life.
