A Technical Vocational School nr 1( about 1000 students) is located in Biała Podlaska ( a town in eastern Poland with 58,000 inhabitants , situated in the Lublin Voivodeship ). The School is considered one of the most important educational institutions in the town and accredited to meet the expectations of the students and the territory. The school offers a wide range of technical and commercial vocational courses, so that they can reach a lot of different certificates. We teach in specializations: Nutrition and Catering/Restaurant Services (including waitressing), Hotel services , Logistics and Forwarding, IT , Landscape Design , Commerce/Trade, Economics. We also have catering workshop and boarding house for girls. Our students are 16-19 years old, boys and girls. ‘Gain professional experience’ (1.08.2013 – 30.09.2014) financed by European Social Found-the aim of the project was to improve quality of a vocational education. We cooperated with other Vocational School, based in Janow Podlaski. We organized internships or practices for our students in different companies, in Biala Podlaska, Janow Podlaski and Warsaw. “I am good, I will be better” - financed by European Social Found (1.07.2011 – 30.06.2013) the main goal of the project was to improve quality and attractiveness of a vocational education, as well as increasing our students’ occupational mobility. Accomplishment of the goal will enhance their chances of employment. The project offered them additional vocational lessons, mathematics, languages and career guidance provided by career advisers and psychologist. 889 students took part in the project.
