YPC

YPC (Youth Parliament Copus) is a youth parliament in Veľké Kapušany. It works since 2008 and the main aim of the parliament is to bring together young people from our town and from nearby villages. Currently we have 17 members. We actively cooperate with the city council and we represent the opinion of young people. In addition to organizing events in our city, Parliament is involved in various international projects and mobilities. We try to inform young people about important European issues and motivate them to engage in public affairs that directly affect their everyday lives and develop their competences not only in formal education but also through out-of-school activities. We organize various conferences. We also try to educate ourselves on the issue of self-development and developing our own competencies.
