Youth Center "John Paul II"

Youth center John Paul II is a place where youngsters have opportunity to grow in their faith and to meet someone different and to get a non-formal education. The main missions of the Center are spirituality, meetings and education. They are evident within the organization of different spiritual retreats including prayers, Way of Cross; organization of diocesan, national, regional, international and sport events; organization of different social projects such as volunteer actions, summer camps and humanitarian actions; organization of formations and educative projects like seminars, various courses and long-term formations. Through the projects and activities organized by the Youth Center we promote the values of unconditional love, selfestime and respect for others as well as altruism and humanism. The Youth Center implements around 40 projects per year where 10 000 youngsters from Bosnia nad Hercegovina and elsewhere will participate. With its serious attitude regarding the project activities and concrete specific goals, the Youth Center expresses its openness toward the society and many social issues since it offers a possibilty for youngsters to contribute to development of the society and to help them become responsible and mature young persons. The Youth Center, established within the Catholic Church, lives its Christian principles nurturing and developing diverse cultures through the interreligious and ecumenical project, but through the international connection of young volunteers who come for many years now to the Youth Center from different parts of the world. Due to large number of activities and expanded life of the Youth Center John Paul II, the building of the Center spreads in 3 500 square meters. Its capacities contain rooms for workshops, seminars and conferences, sport hall, fitness center, space for different workshops for youngsters such as music, dance, theater, art and media; library, chapel, accommodation for 58 persons, restaurant with bar and kindergarten.
