ZIPCeM

ZIPCeM is the umbrella organisation and representative of Youth Information Centers and other member organisations dedicated to providing information and counselling services for young people. It was established in 1992, precisely based on the need to methodologically and organizationally support the developing ICM network in Slovakia. Today, this means that when providing information and counselling services for young people, we use a common logo and name, we follow the Unified Classification of Information, we have a common database system that allows for clear registration of clients and the information and counselling provided, we have extensive editorial and project activities, cooperation with domestic and foreign partners under the ICM brand and many others. At the same time, each ICM is an independent organisation that carries out activities based on the needs of young people specific to its region. In order for the position of youth and youth work itself to improve and move forward, we must look for causes and subsequently solutions. We can only find them directly from the main actors. In other words, without asking young people and listening to what they really want and need, we will not move anywhere. That is why ZIPCeM has also embarked on the path of experiential learning and at the same time supporting youth policy. We want to be part of a positive change that will mean greater trust in young people, and their opinions and ensure that they do not leave their country, but return to live in it, raise their children in it and thus make it a better place to live. Vision: Our vision is a critically thinking young person who knows their rights and can use their potential for the benefit of themselves and society. The values ​​of ZIPCeM and ICM in the provision of information and counseling services for young people (hereinafter referred to as IPS): By providing comprehensive, guaranteed and verified, TRUTHFUL information, we will contribute to the development of critical thinking in young people and support their belief in the truth. Through active COOPERATION of member organizations of the ZIPCeM network, we will create a professional and flexible information network capable of responding to the unique needs of each young person. BY RESPECTING the individuality of young people and their differences in our approach to them, we will contribute to their free self-realization and creativity in finding their own path in life. BY EMPATHY and TOLERANCE in our approach to young people, we will contribute to the creation of a safe environment for their personal and social development. Our Mission: Our mission is to provide comprehensive, trustworthy and objective information and counseling. Through educational activities and creating a safe environment for the development of young people, we want to contribute to the creation of a conscious, objectively thinking society where respect for human rights is a fundamental value.
