Wide Horizons

Organisational Profile Wide Horizons is a Greek NGO dedicated to designing inclusive educational experiences at the intersection of arts, critical digital engagement, and social participation. Rather than approaching digital transformation as a purely technical process, the organisation explores how digital tools can be used responsibly, creatively, and in balance with human interaction, cultural expression, and collective learning. Wide Horizons develops projects that combine immersive technologies, such as Virtual Reality, with participatory artistic practices and analogue learning formats like board games and table top role playing modules. This hybrid approach allows learners not only to acquire digital skills, but also to reflect on their role as users and creators within increasingly mediated environments. Our aim is to support young people in developing imagination, collaboration, and critical awareness beyond algorithm-driven interaction. The organization was founded in 2024 and has already undertaken four major projects. Two of those projects are focused on inmates of Greek correctional facilities and the other two are based on community theatre methodologies.
