Tún Ungmennahús - Nordurthing Youth Center

The Nordurthing youth center (Tún Ungmennahús in icelandic) aims to be a progressive center of youth in the beautiful setting of North Iceland. Our work is built around the idea of youth democracy, youth leadership and youth empowerment and is a strong collaboration between the youth and their youth workers. With activities ranging from open nights where community is the center to focused projects, participation is always voluntary. Our youth center's primary focus is on youth aged 13-20 while still maintaining a program for people aged 10-25! In hopes of further developing our youth center and giving our youth a greater chance to learn and experience it is our hope that by enlisting our organisation on this website we might get partners from way beyond the shores of our pretty little island! :)
