Asociația Blockstart (NGO)

Blockstart association is a quite new Non-Governmental Organization created in the rural area of Romania, more precisely in the village of Vulcana-Bai, Dambovita county. With a very diverse management team, consisting of teachers, education specialists, geographers, political and social studies students, our organisation is ready to approach a wide range of subjects meant to bring durable change to our community and the region we belong to, even to Europe. Our aim is to educate and support the least favoured members of our community coming from excluded social groups, people unemploied and on the verge of extreme poverty. We desire to include all these usually neglected categories in the daily life of our community and to help them to grow and feel integrated by helping them achieve a better, self sustaining lifestyle. We aim to help them overcome social exclusion, to help them educate themselves and understand the importance of an education and, most importantly, we aim to help them find employment opportunities, take advantage of them and keep their jobs. Our programmes are also focused on children and their needs, from acceptance to educational needs that cannot be covered by formal education at school. We try to make sports and healthy living an essential element in the life of our community but we are facing also difficulties. We are looking for experienced project partners who can share their expertise and who will find in us trustworthy, ambitious and dedicated partners for the future. We have extensive experience in Comenius, Grundtvig and Erasmus Plus project creation, management and dissemination, we are fluent in English, French and Romanian and we are looking for ways to make a change alongside partners who feel the same.
