The IUNA Association is a private, non-profit and social nature Association. It was established in 2010 by people who share the common ideal of improving society, and above all believe that young people are the main driver for this change. The IUNA works based on 2 Action Programs: 1. + LUSOFONIA: program that aims to promote among young people, the Lusophone and culture of Portuguese speaking countries. 2. + INCLUSION THROUGH SPORT: Program that aims to promote among young people, debate and projects which sport is the main working tool. Under these programs, we continued the following objectives: > Strengthen the international dimension and cooperation in the youth field; > Training educators, institutions and local authorities to improve the pedagogical approach and increase the efficiency and attractiveness of the formation of the young, preparing them conveniently to the labor market; > To promote self-employment and entrepreneurship in the sports sector, providing young people tools for planning and development projects in the social and educational sport; > Establish a program of activities, conferences, seminars, forums and workshops that promote the development of healthy lifestyles and teaching valuable life skills based on social and educational function of sport; > Promoting Sport as a means of intercultural dialogue and exchange of good practice. The main focus of our work are young people, and our actions are designed to meet their aspirations and to support them and empower them for future life. Thus, from the beginning we started to work in order to support young people in their diverse needs and interests, through projects and activities with young people and communities, and especially with young people who are at risk of exclusion or marginalization. We also work to promote and instill in young people the values of citizenship, solidarity, responsibility, merit and entrepreneurship in order to better prepare for the future. IUNA wants to provide young people with skills through non-formal education, improving their skills and their employability profile, helping them in their integration into the labor market and to be protagonists of their own personal development, while promoting interaction between institutions, at national and international nevel. Another of our functions is to help broaden the horizons of young people by providing them own goals, especially the promotion of projects which have the opportunity to interact with people from different cultures and experiences. Our main public of our activities: - Young students or recent graduates looking for their first job; - Young people active in sports organizations and youth organizations at local, regional and national level; - Social entrepreneurs, public or private entities, representatives of the business or social sector; - Any other public who can show interest about the issues that the projects address. In terms of activities over the past few years, IUNA promoted several actions, among which stand out the Meeting of Young Leaders of the CPLP; the Youth Forum Europe-Lusophone; the Traditional Games Days; the Days of Education through Sport; Congress of Inclusion through Sport; the Volunteer Club ID or the Game Rules. Besides these activities, we have carried out cultural activities as the Youth Festival Lusophone or Sounds and Tones Festival. At this time, IUNA streamlines the international project Facilitators Network Inclusion through Sport, promotion project of entrepreneurship and employability among young people, especially university students, funded by the Erasmus + program.
