The Grefti Association, located in Umbertide, Italy, is a non-profit organization started in June 2015. The focus of the association is to facilitate social inclusion through the support and promotion of a multicultural art scene at the local level. Our contemporary art gallery is both the epicenter and microcosm of this cultural organization. Exhibiting world class art from all over the globe, we have attracted the attention of a multi national audience. Umbertide is a small town of 16.000 people whose origins represent over 60 countries, this international community lives peacefully but without much integration. The Grefti Association would like to help in changing this situation. We offer art exhibition, concerts, book readings, language courses, and art classes. We make every effort through traditional publicity and social mediato reach all segments of the local community The GREFTI’s main goals are: To promote the "process of creating an ever closer union among the peoples of Europe" (Article 1 of the Treaty on European Union) by working to a better understanding of European cultures in their diversity; To facilitate the citizens participation and involvement into cultural and social life; To build the unity of Europe by contributing to a better understanding of European active citizenship by the citizens and helping them to take ownership; To explain the dynamics and European and global issues; To make Europe concrete in the daily life of every citizen; To offer activities on European citizenship and to bring together the European cultural actors in Umbertide and the region of Umbria.
