Regional Department of Education

Regional Department of Education- Sliven is a territorial administration to the Ministry of Education and Science. The implementation of the activities are carried out by: General Administration - Department of Administrative and legal, financial, business and information services. Specialized Administration - Department of Inspection and organizational-methodological activity. Staff number is 20, including , head -1. The institution has an active part in implementing the state policy in education and coordination of provincial and municipal governments, school system, business and civil society for lifelong learning and development of knowledge-based economy. It creates the conditions for implementation of state educational policy in the region of Sliven. What are the activities and experience of the partner organisation in the areas relevant for this project? What are the skills and/or expertise of key persons involved in this project? Our institution is responsible for the education in the area. Early school leaving is one of the main problems in our schools. We organise periodically inspections on this topic, we check the number of students attending schools and we analyse the situation and we search different ways to manage with drop outs.
