Espace Sud - Communauté d'agglomération

The CAESM (Communauté d’Agglomération des Communes de l’Espace Sud Martinique) is the association of local authorities of South Area of Martinique, and gathers 12 municipalities, more than 122 000 inhabitants. It is located in Martinique French Caribbean island, in a touristic and rural area. Martinique is a 1100km² region of France, with a high unemployment rate (more than 20%) and facing a lot of difficulties, economic fragility, no industry, remoteness from mainland Europe (about 7000km). The association of local authorities of South Area manages various services and policies for the territory, including youth field, social inclusion and employment. The cooperation service of CAESM is in charge of activities to raise awareness of the inhabitants, and particularly the youngsters, about Europe and international mobility, and does it in different ways.
