LENTAMENTE SOCIETA' COOPERATIVA AGRICOLA

"Lentamente" is a farm that produces food and that activates social activities in agriculture. We have 20 hectares that we use to produce grain, hemp, spelled, vegetables and honey. It is born in 2013-14, so is a very young farm. Born from nothing on public ground requested to local authorities. We did a crowdfunding with which we collected some money from all over the world (most of it in Italy) to start. Today we are growing. We are an organic social farm. And in the meantime we have built a network with some social cooperatives, with which we formed a consortium that includes disadvantaged people: psychiatric disabled, drug addicts, and prisoners who are working with us. We usually work with the jail, the court and the sanitarian authorities of Benevento. We founded the "Gramigna" that is an association that deals in our territory with the promotion of no profit activities such as: urban social gardens, gathering and using spontaneous herbs, cultural encounters. We founded on our farm, "The Herb House", joining to a national network that involves the population in knowing spontaneous herbs. Last year, Benevento's first urban social garden was born promoted by us, through a project that involved 4 local associations, including Slow Food (which you may know).
