Les Francas du Lot

Les Francas du Lot are gathered around the values of humanism, freedom, solidarity, secularism, equality. Every day, the Francas « give life » to these values in their educational action. The aim is to make the children and the young people accede to an active citizenship. Education is seen as a project that favors both academic success and social inclusion. In order to develop these values and principles, Les Francas du Lot are accredited to accompany young people to live an EVS abroad. The organization has the accreditation "dispatching structure and coordinating structure". Otherwise, the main objectives of the departmental association "Francas du Lot" are : - To arouse the creation of spaces, of collective initiatives such as collectives projects and commitment of young people at the European level. - To promote some projects which favor meetings between people who come from different places in order to enable a social mix, a cultural diversity and a social inclusion. - To give life to the French Republic values and the European values in educational areas. - To favor the Expression, the Participation, the Emancipation, the Personal construction, a critical approach. - To favor the creation of educational convergences - To encourage civic commitment and to mobilize educational agents - To support the associative life on the territory. The target groups of the departmental project of the Francas du Lot are : - The children from the age of 3 - The teenagers - The young people from 17 to 30 years old- concerning the commitment, the mobility and the voluntary. - Youth workers (professionals and volunteers) - Families - Educational professionals (teachers, educator, maternal assistants, etc…) The regular activities of the Francas du Lot are : - To support young people projects such as : culture, digital technology, leisure time, holiday’s projects. - To support the agents to manage mobility’s European projects. - Digital technology’s workshops and training for young people and youth workers. - To welcome and support young volunteers in voluntary service (french device) - Trainings and awareness campaigns for Children and youth leaders about the inclusion of disabled children in leisure centers. - Animation of professional network on Europe, disability, Republican values, gender equality. - Initial and continuous training for youth's leaders. - The creation and the animation of projects in partnership with other educational agents ( schools, families, local associations) - To raise awareness among children, young people and adults about Rights of the Child (International Convention on the Rights of the Child).
