Asociatia Teodora - Sofia

Teodora-Sofia Association is a local/regional youth organization, non-political, non-syndicated, with members starting from 14 years of age. Our aim is to stimulate active participation of young people in the society, to develop activities in intercultural, educational, social, sports, recreational and environmental character, with a view to the self-development of young people in our region. Our association promotes: a)Supporting young people in order to perform in the cultural, artistic and sport plan/area. b)Promoting a healthy way of living, civilized and tolerant in order to harmonies human relations; c)Promoting multiculturalism as a means of interpersonal closeness; d)Developing programs to attract children and young people in cultural , artistic and sports activities. e)Providing support for poor students who are deprived of material possibilities to continue their studies; f)Educating citizens to protect the environment; g)discussion and dissemination of information and collaboration with public and private entities, about the needs and aspirations of youth. h) we want in future international youth exchanges, trainings, conferences, seminars, and meetings with national and international youth organizations in order to achieve its objectives. We live in a beautiful mountain area, in the central part of the country – Mureş County; in our commune there are interesting tourist places such as: The Daffodils’ Glade, The Bornemisza Castle, The Arboretum Park. Within the Association, I train youngsters in greening ,sports, cultural activities; My desire is that what I do to will have a larger spreading and the number of young people involved to be higher; In my work with young people I'm delighted to use methods of non-formal education; I followed courses to learn methods of non formal education that are attractive and motivating to young people; I followed Project Management courses in order to learn to compose and write project for the purpose of resolving community issues together with other colleagues from the Association ; My job as a teacher and trainer of Informatics/ICT helps me to learn, train and keep in touch with young people also through the Internet (chat, video chat, websites, etc.);
