Ayse Mirici Secondary School

Our school is "AYSE MIRICI SECONDARY SCHOOL" in Tarsus town of Mersin that is a province on the south Mediterranean coast of Turkey. We provide education to the students between the ages of 11-14 in our school. A short information about our town: Tarsus town was a significant place in history whose roots goes until Ancient Romans and it’s very well known as the birth place of "Saint Paul ".It’s also accepted as Christian pilgrimage place. So each year, many Christians come here to visit. Besides Christians, it’s an important place for Muslims and the sons of Israel. Muslims visit the Eshab-i Kehf Cave, which is important to their faith, and the sons of Israel are able visit the tomb of the Prophet Daniel. For this reason, Tarsus’s culture has been enriched due to the strong influence of all three major monotheistic religions. It is accepted in Anatolia and worldwide as a center of the three beliefs holy sites.
