Ithaca

Ithaca is a non-governmental/non-profit organization founded in 2015, active in the field of providing services and support to the homeless and other vulnerable groups. Ithaca operates Europe’s first mobile laundry unit for the homeless in the region of Attica. Applying a unique solution and establishing key collaborations with local authorities and socially active companies, Ithaca has served more than 6.000 people by providing them with clean clothes. Moreover, Ithaca employs people from vulnerable social groups so that they can re-enter society, while at the same time the organization empowers them by offering psychological and job counseling. Ithaca also expands its services every year by developing activities such as street work, psychosocial support, and vocational consulting. The majority of our beneficiaries are homeless people, refugees and migrants, as well as other individuals or families with children who face social exclusion and poverty. We are happy to share our current expertise and experience and further learn about good practices other organizations which share the same goals, use in the field.
