Lunghe Frequenze, officially registered in 2024, builds on years of informal collaboration among its members. A defining feature of the association is its evenly split board, comprising individuals from both Southern and Northern Italy. This structure symbolizes successful integration and reflects the organization’s commitment to unity, mutual support, and bridging cultural and geographical divides. Lunghe Frequenze extends its inclusivity efforts to support both internal migrants (Italians relocating for work) and international immigrants, including those arriving for employment, family reunification, or asylum. The association collaborates with local actors to offer non-formal educational activities, including outdoor adventure sports (canyoning, trekking, camping) and workshops promoting sustainable food practices. These initiatives honor traditions while addressing their social, economic, and environmental impact. Lunghe Frequenze also prioritizes digital literacy, aiming to bridge the digital divide and ensure equitable access to information. Furthermore, it actively fosters social entrepreneurship in rural and sustainable tourism, supporting initiatives that stimulate local economies, preserve cultural and natural heritage, and enhance community well-being. Among its signature activities are "Walk and Clean" tours, which combine outdoor exploration with environmental stewardship, social picnics that strengthen community bonds through shared meals, and reflective reading events that encourage critical thinking and discussion.
