Our association was created in December 2016. At its base: artists and meetings. Our goal is the promotion of circus arts and the arts in general for all. So we are active with children as well as teenagers and even adults. We create short or long-term activities that allow participants to touch different forms of art: juggling, trapeze, capoiera, aerial fabric, break dance, hip-hop, etc. but also drawing, sewing, rap , .... Cirque et arts en liberté is created with the aim of helping the realization of projects) destination of all and in particular people with fewer opportunities. We want to promote social change and also create educational activities for the professional and personal development of the population (mainly young people). Our main areas of work are sport, art and education. The goals of our association are: - to discover and discover sports and arts; - share through sport and the arts; - use sport and the arts as a tool; - develop local, national and international projects. We are also a member of the Board of Directors of the Herstal Youth House. We have worked with young people and the various actors to create it and, to be part of the Board of Directors is a new adventure for us. We have been working since our creation on setting up workshops through circus and arts. We participate in projects at different levels: - local projects: - set up workshops accessible to children from 8 years old (aerial acrobatics, rap, Chinese calligraphy, ...) - Establishment of activities in rest homes (use of juggling and Chinese plates to work dexterity) - co-organizer of the Herstal Urban Festival project. - national projects: setting up a collective of artists from different places in Belgium and exchanges of good practices. - international projects: implementation of Erasmus + project on different themes. The people participating in the project are people with the skills related to the project. Elyes Boughanmi is a confirmed circus artist, trainer in aerobatics, he works to set up workshops related to the circus. Formed in Tunisia then in Belgium, Elyes puts at the disposal his competences, he has already participated in two Erasmus + projects. Gloria Picqueur has been a facilitator / trainer in the social sector for several years and has completed several international projects including two projects around hip-hop dance. Former dancer and trained in dance therapy she brings to the project an extra dimension. The other participants all make sport their own means of communication. Their goal and their desire and to share, learn and discuss their different practices.
