Absentia - Exploring the Absence is a non-profit organization focusing on promoting environmental and social sustainability, building community, promoting social inclusion, urban regeneration, and social and European project design. Additionally, we are dedicated to developing small rural communities and villages, as the phenomenon of depopulation is a major concern for us. Based in Stintino, a small town in northwestern Sardinia, we strongly believe in the potential of small, remote communities. Absentia's activities focus on various fields related to sustainability, social innovation, community building, and international cooperation. Some of the activities we engage in include: - Developing and managing sustainable projects that promote environmental and social sustainability, including urban regeneration projects and initiatives aimed at preserving rural areas and small communities. - Building and strengthening communities by fostering a sense of belonging, promoting active participation, and supporting local networks. - Providing social design and European project design services to third-sector entities and businesses that wish to develop concrete projects and initiatives that foster social innovation and environmental sustainability. - Promoting international cooperation and European mobility through our involvement in programs such as Erasmus+ and our collaboration with international partners and organizations. - Supporting social entrepreneurship and the development of social enterprises that contribute to positive social and environmental impact. - Conducting research and analysis aimed at identifying the causes and effects of societal challenges and developing practical solutions that address these issues.
