Associação N.E.W. Loops

We are a Portuguese non-profit association, that emerged to introduce more sustainable ways of living in our society, through the conscious use of basic natural resources (nutrients, energy, and water), and promote knowledge and means of reusing and recycling these resources, to maximize the efficiency of its cycles (loops). We believe that reestablishing the connection between human beings and Nature, from early childhood, is the key to many changes that are urgent today! The disconnection with nature is increasing and has a direct harmful impact on people's health and well-being, as well as the consequences of environmental negligence. Our mission is to reestablish and reinforce the connection between humans and nature and contribute to a more conscious and ecologically sustainable society for the regeneration and preservation of our home, planet Earth. Our main activities consist: * Coordination, organization, and partnerships of local, regional, and international projects, namely Erasmus+ Projects, community events, volunteering, and forums; * Non-formal outdoor education activities based on Outdoor Learning, Forest School, Montessori, and Permaculture methodologies; * Trainings on free play, outdoor learning, permaculture, regenerative agriculture, upcycling, low-tech sustainable technologies, etc.; * Collaboration and creation of a network of regional regenerative projects; * Development and maintenance of an educational space in nature through regenerative systems.
