KRAP ASD is a dynamic organization transforming lives through action sports, youth development, and sustainable living. Founded by passionate freestyle sports enthusiasts in 2008, we've built a legacy around parkour, skateboarding, BMX, and mountain biking. Our unique approach blends sports expertise with innovative educational programs and a deep commitment to environmental responsibility, empowering individuals and communities. Krap is a sport association founded in 2008 by a group of young people from Schio (VI), passionate about freeestyle disciplines as Skateboard, Parkour, BMX, Break-dance. KRAP Association organizes courses of freestyle disciplines and implements events and initiatives to spread those disciplines all over the country. In 2010 the association rented an industrial warehouse of 1,100 m2 in Santorso. It was called "KRAPANNONE" and it was the first example of an indoor freestyle gym in Europe, capable of grouping freestyle lovers from all over the world. All structures needed for the implementation of the activities were built by members of the association. In 2018 started the project “Il Colibrì – Progetto Educativo” which is an educational project for kids from 2-7 years old, the project aim is to raise youngsters in collaboration with their families in strict with nature and outdoor environment, and focused on self-development of general life skills besides specific subjects. In 2021 kickstarted the birth of COLLETTIVO RIZOSFERA APS, an association of small Farmers that promote agricultural best practises on regenerative farming and vegetable production https://www.youtube.com/rizosfera From 2008 to date, we keep teaching weekly freestyle sports to Kids, with Parkour, Skate and Bike classes, also organising outdoor camps with snowboard, hiking and more disciplines, involving every year more than 300 athletes. In 2024 KRAP is joining the Italian Gymnastics Federation to bring athletes to bring its athletes to the Italian and world parkour championships KRAP ASD Contrada Marzarotti 12 36015 Schio (VI) ITALY www.krap.it facebook.com/krap.it instagram.com/krapstagram Relevant Projec ts THE WALL SKATEKRAP: From 2014 to 2018 KRAP responded to the rise of skateboarding and BMX popularity by building "THE WALL SKATEKRAP," an indoor skatepark in the larger city of Vicenza. The park hosted four major Italian events in Skateboard and BMX, attracting over 2000 participants on average per season. KRAPANNONE: Built in 2010, in 2020 we’ve relocated, the new Parkour GYM - KRAPANNONE in Schio. Krap's exper- tise in parkour structure design shines through in this 250 sq m space, where we host weekly Parkour classes for 130 children and adults. PARKOUR CLASSES WITH PRIMARY SCHOOL: Since 2022, we've collaborated with the "Maddalena di Canossa" primary school in Schio. All 200 children aged 6-11 participate in 8 parkour lessons in our gym, with fantastic results reported by teach- ers. These benefits include improved muscle strength and coordination, increased confidence and self-esteem, enhanced problem-solving and creativity, better focus and discipline, and greater resilience and perseverance. ICEHEARTS PROJECT: In 2024, we partnered with UISP (Unione Italiana Sport Per tutti) to join the IceHearts Europe project ( - EU4H-2022-PJ). This pan-European initiative, based on the Finnish Icehearts model, aims to improve mental health and well-being for disadvantaged youth in Europe. Our role involves training 2 coaches who become mentors, and leading 2 groups of 20 children each. We organize diverse activities, including sports sessions, to provide efficient, functional, and compre- hensive support tailored to individual needs. By focusing on their strengths and resources, we aim to create a long-lasting and safe adult presence in their lives. CLOSER TO NATURE (Erasmus+ SSCP): In 2023, our "CLOSER TO NATURE" project was funded under the Erasmus+ Sport Call. This project promotes appreciation for nature close to home and encourages a culture of sport in natural environ- ments without needing facilities or gyms. This practice not only benefits participants' health but also raises awareness about environmental preservation, tackling climate change, and the importance of a carbon-neutral economy, particularly regarding forestry management. PROGETTI SPORT & SALUTE con UISP: In early 2023, we joined UISP's program funded by Sport e Salute S.p.a. to encourage children's return to physical activity after COVID-19. We offered 4 months of diverse free sports activities to over 100 children aged 4-20. KRAP INVADERS: Since 2010, we've organized the KRAP INVADERS FESTIVAL, an international action sports event for athletes worldwide practicing parkour, skateboarding, and BMX.
