European Movement in Serbia

The European Movement in Serbia (EMinS), established on November 24, 1992, is a non-governmental, non-partisan, and non-profit organization dedicated to advocating for Serbia's peaceful, democratic, and full integration into the European Union. As a full member of the International European Movement since 1993, EMinS aligns itself with a broader network committed to promoting European values and integration. EMinS operates through a decentralized structure, operating not only as an NGO from its secretariat but as a wider movement, comprising 14 local councils across Serbia. These councils function autonomously while adhering to the organization's core mission, facilitating grassroots engagement and promoting European integration at the local level. The organization encompasses several specialized forums, notably the Youth Forum, the Forum for International Relations, and the Forum for Research and Development. The Youth Forum, established in 2014, focuses on empowering young people, enhancing their participation in decision-making processes, and promoting European values among the youth. The Forum for International Relations, active since 1995, brings together experts in international law and foreign policy to contribute to Serbia's foreign policy discourse. EMinS engages in a wide array of activities, including policy research, advocacy, public campaigns, educational programs, and capacity-building initiatives. Its projects aim to support the European integration process by building capacities among youth. activists, public officials, civil society organizations, media, and other stakeholders. Through its comprehensive approach, EMinS strives to foster a democratic society in Serbia, grounded in European norms and values, and to facilitate the country's accession to the European Union, while motivating Youth to embrace European values and engage with the EU integration process.
