Compagnie DK-BEL

DK-BEL, founded in Villiers-le-Bel (95) in 2004, promotes art to vulnerable audiences. Activities focus on: • Artistic creation for all, fostering social connections. • Humans at the Heart of creation - changing perspectives. • Engaging in international networks through art sharing. DK-BEL values empathy, sharing, and kindness, emphasizing inclusion. We conduct educational activities using art for young people, encouraging encounters with others regardless of disability or socioeconomic status. Choreographer Sophie Bulbulyan's work embodies a distinctive movement style that reflects cultural diversity. DK-BEL's performances feature disabled and able-bodied dancers on national and international stages. Since 2004, generations of dancers have upheld DK-BEL's positive values, becoming ambassadors for their city. The group has grown from ten dancers to around one hundred members, including thirty with disabilities. DK-BEL participates in European and international projects, connecting through art and promoting optimism, altruism, mutual aid, and solidarity across Europe.
