Batman High-Security Prison

Batman High-Security Prison Institution is a state correctional facility operating under the Ministry of Justice in Türkiye. The institution accommodates individuals who are serving their sentences and provides them with opportunities for rehabilitation, education, and personal development. Our mission is not only to ensure security and discipline but also to prepare inmates for successful reintegration into society after their release. We offer a wide range of educational and vocational programs, including literacy courses, vocational training, cultural and artistic workshops, and social responsibility projects. Through these activities, inmates gain essential skills, improve their social competencies, and develop a sense of responsibility and belonging. Our institution also places strong emphasis on collaboration with civil society organizations, public bodies, and international partners in order to strengthen rehabilitation practices. By engaging in European and international projects, we aim to exchange good practices, increase the capacity of our staff, and create innovative approaches that promote inclusion, equal opportunities, and human rights. We are particularly interested in participating in Erasmus+ training courses and youth work projects that focus on non-formal education, social reintegration, intercultural dialogue, and skill development. Through international cooperation, we seek to enhance the professional competences of our staff and contribute to building a more inclusive and rehabilitative correctional environment.
