ONSEN COLLECTIVE

Onsen Collective is a youth-led, non-profit association based in Mallorca, created by young people for young people. The organisation was founded by a group of young Europeans whose first Erasmus+ intercultural exchanges were personally transformative experiences, shaping their understanding of Europe, community, and active citizenship. The association works through participatory, non-formal, and place-based methods, connecting local island realities with broader European and global challenges. Its activities focus on civic engagement, climate awareness, social justice, cultural identity, and sustainability, with particular attention to the social and environmental impacts of tourism, climate change, and inequality in island contexts. Onsen Collective actively involves young people in the design, implementation, and dissemination of its activities, fostering peer-to-peer learning and inclusive community spaces. Through local youth work and European cooperation projects, the organisation aims to empower a new generation of young people to see themselves as active European citizens capable of shaping more just, sustainable, and caring societies.
