Atlantic Bridges Hub

ATLANTIC BRIDGES HUB is a newly established association currently in an early stage of organizational-development. The organization was founded through the joint initiative of professionals with extensive individual experience in the fields of education, youth work, educational leisure, environmental education and European cooperation. Although the association has not yet coordinated European projects as an organisation, its founding members have direct experience in programmes such as Erasmus+ (KA1 and KA2), CERV, INTERREG Atlantic Area and Creative Europe, both from participation and from management, coordination and project writing. One of the main short- and medium-term objectives is to begin drafting Erasmus+ KA2, CERV and Creative Europe projects, progressively moving towards the coordination of some of these projects in cooperation with European partners. At local and regional level, the members of ATLANTIC BRIDGES HUB have developed educational, cultural, environmental and sports projects for many years, providing the organisation with a solid base of practical knowledge, networks and operational capacity from its earliest stages. 2. VISION, PHILOSOPHY AND LONG-TERM GOALS ATLANTIC BRIDGES HUB was created with the vocation of becoming an integrated youth- focused project, rooted in the Galician territory and connected to the European and international context. The organisation places at the centre of its vision the relationship between youth, nature and sustainability, understanding learning in natural environments as a key tool for personal, social and community development. 2 Our approach prioritises environmental education, immersion in nature and educational leisure as privileged spaces for non-formal learning, value development and awareness-raising regarding current environmental and climate challenges. In the medium and long term, ATLANTIC BRIDGES HUB aims to create its own physical space: an open and dynamic centre that will function as a youth meeting point, an idea laboratory and an operational base for educational activities in nature. This space will integrate collaborative work areas, training and creation spaces, as well as technological resources (fablab, audiovisual tools, applied artificial intelligence and digital prototyping) at the service of projects with social and environmental impact. The ultimate objective is to consolidate a model that combines learning in nature, creativity, responsible technology and social entrepreneurship, fostering innovative solutions for environmental protection, rural development and the sustainable future of communities.
