Associazione Bastardini Con Gloria O.D.V. is a volunteer‑based non‑profit organisation located in Portopalo di Capo Passero (Sicily, Italy). We work for the protection and welfare of stray dogs and cats through the management of animal shelters and cat colonies, neutering and adoption campaigns and close cooperation with local authorities and veterinarians. We use with animals as a powerful tool for non‑formal education, inclusion and active citizenship. We organise educational activities with young people and adults on responsible pet ownership, animal welfare, environmental awareness and community engagement, with a special focus on NEETs, young people from rural areas and people with fewer opportunities. Our team includes experienced volunteers, native Spanish speakers and an interpreter who speaks English, German and Finnish, which helps us to support international volunteers and participants. We are now looking for partners and coordinators interested in: – youth exchanges and non‑formal learning activities related to animal welfare, environment and social inclusion; – European Solidarity Corps individual or group volunteering in our shelters; – small‑scale or cooperation partnerships where animal welfare and youth participation can be combined. We can offer safe and meaningful tasks in our shelters, strong mentoring and learning support, local community involvement and high motivation to build long‑term European partnerships.
