⭐BACKGROUND AND EXPERIENCE Grace Center for Peace and Development (GCPD) is a non-governmental organisation established in 2009, working in the fields of humanitarian assistance, sustainable development and peacebuilding. The organisation operates primarily in East Africa, with a strong focus on Somalia, supporting vulnerable and marginalised communities through integrated, community-based approaches. GCPD’s core mission is to strengthen social capital and enable sustainable development by empowering communities to overcome poverty, inequality and conflict. Its work is grounded in participatory, demand-driven methodologies that are gender-sensitive, inclusive and responsive to local needs. The organisation implements holistic, people-centred programmes that combine humanitarian response with long-term development interventions. Its main areas of expertise include emergency relief, food security and livelihoods, health, formal education, WASH (water, sanitation and hygiene), youth capacity development, micro-enterprise support and community-based peacebuilding and reconciliation.
