Falls Community Council through its core projects works across Belfast and across traditional boundaries. Its overarching aim is to bridge and link community organisations, share resources and advocate on community concerns. It has developed a comprehensive range of projects and resources to support a programme of work assisting West Belfast’s regeneration. The organisation is a registered charity and company limited by guarantee. Core Service provision (welfare advice, drug education, outreach, family support, Music Technology et al, community safety, conflict resolution, community cohesion, participative democracy) FCC has almost 40 years’ experience in the development and management of community base projects. Its organisational systems and processes ensure the overall project direction, effectiveness, supervision and accountability. The management board provide many years’ experience and expertise to FCC’s development. All board members sign up to FCC’s good governance that outlines key principles and acceptable standards. Operational management is the director’s responsibility with clear lines of reporting to the management committee from all units through the appropriate line manager. Strategic direction and leadership is provided by the management committee. FCC is considered an accountable, trustworthy, transparent and effective community organisation.
