Bilkent International House Club

Bilkent International House Description of the Society Founded on 16th June 2014, the main focus of the club is to enhance social and academic lives of international students, build a healthy environment for cultural exchange and give every member a chance to take responsibility and explore their leadership qualities. Bilkent International House's primary language of communication is English. (French speaking members are available). The Goal and the Activities of the Society 1) To help the international students blend in with the university environment. 2) To improve the academic and social skills of international students. 3) To bring international students together in different organizations 4) To encourage international students to learn different languages and overcome the language obstacle 5) To create a social interaction environment by providing the international students with the opportunity to organize cultural activities. 6) To organize national and international conferences which the international students can profit from. 7) To organize national and international trips that society members and Bilkent University students can attend. 8) To represent national / international institutions and organizations in Bilkent and to conduct activities in collaboration such as seminars, conferences and trainings under the roof of Bilkent University 9) To produce projects focused on resolving global conflicts by working in international teams 10) To raise funds for the projects and to put projects into practice by applying to various grant programs 11) To form a platform which will pave the way for international students to defend their rights and to enable them to express themselves 12) To organize various sportive, cultural, artistic contests/ competitions both in the university and in other universities 13) To enable community members to become a part of a larger network with which they will stay in touch in the future and to strengthen the culture of solidarity among international students
