Makeshift Ensemble

Makeshift Ensemble is a very young theatre company from the south of Ireland. They were established in August 2011 from the cast and crew of the theatre production Fuck My Life directed by Pol Heyvaert (CAMPO, Belgium). Since then they have staged three productions/interventions: ...because the bus is always late (Cork Culture Night), Makeshift Christmas Flashmob, Osteoporosis (Solstice) and they are now working towards future productions. The ensemble at present comprises of 13 young people between 17 and 24 who come from various backgrounds. We are very active and try to do as many things as possible at the same time. For us it is important to bring theatre down from the clouds and make it accessible while also making sure that we never compromise quality. We come from various "artistic" interests too so film and music plays an important role in our life and productions.
