Vertigem

Vertigem is a local non governmental for environmental protection organisation with 108 members (all volunteers) with headquarters in the Natural Park of “Serra de Aire e Candeeiros” Leiria region (center of Portugal) , that have as goals and mission the promotion, preservation and defense of the natural and biological heritage, with development of volunteer projects , actions and initiatives that foster the development of local communities. Trough the study and characterization of natural habitats, our organisation promote and disseminate environmental education and raise awareness of the protection and conservation of Nature in national partnerships, with other non-governmental organizations and Municipal Councils in different regions of the territory of Portugal. Vertigem is member of the Portuguese Confederation of Environmental Defense Associations (CPADA) and consultant of FSC (international, non-governmental organisation dedicated to promoting responsible management of the world’s forests)
