About Organization
Organisation’s central objective is to assist young people in the implementation of their ideas on the basis of voluntary service and non-formal education. LYVS is working to develop the volunteer movement in Belarus and to increase the access of young people to the information about the participation opportunities in the field of non-formal education, to develop their civil and social competencies. Organisation’s projects aim to support the development of active citizenship and contribute to the development of the sense of responsibility, critical thinking, intercultural communication skills among the participants and members of the organisation. The participation in our projects is based on the principle of free choice. Our main activities: international workcamps, Youth in Action/Erasmus+ and European Solidarity Corps (trainings, seminars, PBAs, study visits, youth exchanges,EVS), Freiwilliges Soziales/Ökologisches Jahr, creative laboratory “Clever” (DIY, photography workshops, handcrafts workshops), intercultural learning events (international evenings, movie nights, workshops etc.), charity actions. Target group: young people (mostly university students), from 18 to 30 years, but we have projects which are open to any participants, older than 18 years.
