About Organization
Eurobox is a cultural non-profit organization founded in October 2013 with the aim of promoting youth mobility and multicultural approach to the local youth. The overall aim of the organization is to give the opportunity to local youth to make a deep reflection and have an impact both on their territory, as it is a rural area, and on the European Union. The idea is to act glocally: by sharing traditions and points of view with other cultures, the local young people can become active citizens for the creation, implementation and promotion of European projects and events at local level. In this way, they could gain new skills and sense of belonging both to their community and to the EU. For this reason, Eurobox provides Arezzo’s youth with the information and means for their international mobility and promotes youth exchanges, European Voluntary Service opportunities (EVS) and participation in human rights education activities. In order to better achieve the aim, Eurobox encourages all the members and volunteers of the organization to become active multipliers of the European projects. We give them the possibility to write their own project through our support, so that they can shape their idea of the European citizenship and have a greater impact. Because Arezzo has a long time experience of international initiatives dedicated to Human Rights, Eurobox inherited the value and implements projects dedicated to peacebuilding, gender issues and human rights, being always active at local, national and international level. Besides the implementation of European projects, Eurobox promotes single initiatives - such as meetings, debates, concerts, work camps - to raise tolerance, justice and consciousness in local youngsters. The organization collaborates with some local institutions and organizations, such as the InformaGiovani of Arezzo or some social co-operatives, with the aim of promoting the European possibilities among young people and having a stronger impact on the local territory.
