The European Intercultural Forum e. V. (EIF) is a civil society organisation engaging in the fields of peace education, active citizenship, empowerment, capacity development, international cooperation and development. The EIF operates programmes and projects at international level, mainly in Europe and in the Eastern Partnership region. The mission of the organisation is: • to contribute to peace in Europe by strengthening civil society and fostering democratic developments • to provide intercultural learning experiences to youth and adults to enhance intercultural tolerance and mutual understanding • to provide learning opportunities to civil society representatives such as youth workers, social workers, activists and youth leaders, to explore methodologies and practices in international cooperation, youth work and peace education Following types of activities are offered by the European Intercultural Forum e. V.: • short-term international and educational events providing cross-cultural experience and exchange of practices such as training courses, networking events, seminars and study visits • international voluntary work with the European Solidarity Corps (short-term and long-term) • long-term cooperation projects to develop capacities of civil society organisations and foster competence development of youth and adults • coaching and empowerment of youth and adults willing to develop own initiatives for the benefit of local communities The target groups of our activities are youth and adult learners eager to develop their own competences as well as coordinators, managers, youth and social workers, youth leaders and activists engaged in community work. The organisation currently focuses on cooperation with two main geographical areas: – Eastern Partnership region: Armenia, Azerbaijan, Belarus, Georgia, Moldova and Ukraine – European Union and candidate countries The European Intercultural Forum e. V. functions with one employee and several freelance consultants and trainers. In average each year, the European Intercultural Forum e. V. involves around 50 to 70 youth and social workers representing different civil society organisations based in Europe and neighbouring regions in its training and networking activities. Additionally, the EIF provides placements under the European Solidarity Corps to about 15 to 20 young people from Germany (independently of the citizenship) per year in short-term or long-term projects located in Europe and in the Caucasus. - - - Das Europäische Interkulturelle Forum e. (EIF) ist eine zivilgesellschaftliche Organisation, die sich in den Bereichen Friedenserziehung, aktive Bürgerschaft, Empowerment, Kapazitätsentwicklung, internationale Zusammenarbeit und Entwicklung engagiert. EIF betreibt Programme und Projekte auf internationaler Ebene, hauptsächlich in Europa und in der Region der Östlichen Partnerschaft. Die Mission der Organisation ist: - Beitrag zum Frieden in Europa durch Stärkung der Zivilgesellschaft und Förderung demokratischer Entwicklungen - Bereitstellung interkultureller Lernerfahrungen für Jugendliche und Erwachsene, um die interkulturelle Toleranz und das gegenseitige Verständnis zu verbessern - Bereitstellung von Lernmöglichkeiten zu Methoden und Praktiken in der internationalen Zusammenarbeit, Jugendarbeit und Friedenserziehung für zivilgesellschaftlichen Vertretern wie Jugendarbeitern, Sozialarbeitern, Aktivisten und Jugendleitern Folgende Arten von Aktivitäten werden vom Europäischen Interkulturellen Forum angeboten: - internationale Weiterbildungsangebote, die interkulturelle Erfahrungsaustausch und Networking ermöglicht in Form von Trainingskursen, Seminaren und Studienbesuchen - internationale Freiwilligenarbeit im Rahmen des Europäischen Solidaritätskorps - langfristige Kooperationsprojekte zur Entwicklung der Kapazitäten von Organisationen der Zivilgesellschaft und zur Förderung der Kompetenzentwicklung von Jugendlichen und Erwachsenen - Coaching und Empowerment von J
