About Organization
Minte Forte is a non-profit organization from Cluj-Napoca, established in 2010, which promotes mental health through education, support to maintain or improve mental health and personal development. Our beliefs are: • Mental health is important to every person, regardless of age, gender, ethnicity or socio-economic status; • Each person has the ability to positively influence their mental health; • Optimization methods for mental health can be learned through education. We focus on education for awareness factors that influence mental health and provide support for the development of healthy thinking and behavior styles. We address all people who want to maintain or improve their mental health. Projects and activities: • Psychotherapy and psychotherapy services, counseling, psychological optimization, prevention and treatment of mental health problems. • The Mental Health Week, organized annually, starting in 2010, under the slogan "It's time to talk" aims to create a bridge between Cluj community and mental health specialists. The project includes interactive presentations, psychological development workshops, debates, information stands, theater plays, music recitals, non-formal activities such as the Living Library, all of which have in common the theme of mental health. • Local psychoeducational events on different topics such as self-acceptance, managing stress, making decisions, exploring emotions, strengthening personal relationships and many others. Event formats are very diverse: workshops, film screenings and discussions,group discussions moderated by psychologists, psycho-marathon-in which participants have the opportunity to practice different psychological techniques useful in everyday life, etc. • Connecting the Visions, a project to set up partnerships with mental health organizations, August 13-19, 2012 and funded through the Youth in Action Program. • Schools without walls - Running from June 1 to December 31 2014, in Cluj-Napoca, Timisoara and Arad, is a program for the development of socio-emotional skills among middle-aged children. Activities are based on non-formal education methods such as games, role, simulations, video creation, photo voice, artistic creation. • The Non-Formal Road to Mental Health was a training on non-formal methods of promoting mental health, funded by Erasmus +, held from 3-9 November 2014. Its activities included theater, photo-voice, video creation, visual arts, simulations, outdoor activities, introspection exercises and so on • EVS for mental health - An EVS project conducted between June 2015 and February 2016, in where two young people from France are doing recreational activities with children in the psychiatric hospital and support the Cluj community through various educational activities. • Art Shapes Minds and StArt with Your Mind and Mind Artists- EVS projects run from August 2016 to September 2019, where EVS volunteers have designed, organized and facilitated workshops and personal development modules based on the arts and methods of non-formal education, for young people in a secondary school, a high school, for a pediatric psychiatric clinic and for young people in the general population. • Teen Upgrade - A project focused on socio-emotional development and increasing the employability of adolescents who are part of socio-economic risk categories. Through non-formal workshops run weekly in Technological Highschool Aurel Vlaicu and a non-formal climbing camp, the project has developed the youngsters' essential abilities in life such as communication, emotion management and social relations. • Development through climbing - A project aimed at socio-emotional development through climbing into a non-formal environment. The objectives of this project are to develop the capacity among the participants to deal with fear or anger by confronting the rock; the ability to communicate in a group, to trust and be responsible; awareness of your body through guided sports activities
