About Organization
AMPANS we are a foundation with a history of more than 50 years of history. It currently has more than 800 professionals who work to promote education, quality of life and full inclusion of people with intellectual disability, mental illness or in a vulnerable situation. From the commitment to people and the territory, we work to promote education, quality of life and job placement, seeking support, guidance and accompaniment, promoting training, empowerment and social and personal relationship networks of the people we work for. We accompany and support people and their families in services of special education school, training, work, day care, therapeutic occupation, home services and residence, leisure, sports and guardianship, promoting personal autonomy and respect for rights and opportunities. In the workplace, we create companies and services that employ more than two hundred people with disabilities and risk of exclusion in the sectors of gardening, cleaning, handling, graphic arts, environment, restoration, cheese and the wine cellar. Fundació AMPANS, is a welcoming organization for long-term volunteers since 2000, thanks to the program of Erasmus + European Volunteering Service. Since 2017, we have also participated as a coordinating entity. The volunteers are incorporated annually in care daily centers or in AMPANS homes and residential services to support professionals. AMPANS is presented by first time as a coordinating and host entity in the European Solidarity Corps program in the call for applications February 2019. Our project has a long history in the EVS program and with very positive evaluations of participation. The volunteer inclusion project that concerns us, is developed in the services and facilities that the entity has in different municipalities of the Bages region.
