Gençlik Çalışmaları Derneği (GENCA)

Gençlik Çalışmaları Derneği (GENCA) was established on 18th July 2014 by a group of the youth worker to enable and develop the youth information, youth work and youth participation. GENCA aims to establish new partnerships with individuals and organisations working in the youth field, take responsibility for being executed, and develop their youth work and activities, which we will implement via cultural, sport, and art activities. GENCA is an independent, non-profit organisation that provides practical solutions to integrating environmental and social priorities with economic and development. We actively organize, participate and implement activities related to youth employment, human rights, equality, justice, diversity, solidarity, and preventing hate speech, extremism, and radicalisation. We report on international negotiations, conduct rigorous research, and engage citizens, businesses and policymakers on the shared goal of developing sustainability. We also translate foreign educational contents into the Turkish language to build quality of youth work at the national level. Organisation directs its work mainly towards the target group, especially socially and economically disadvantaged young people aged 15-35. Our working theme is art, sport and culture, and the central working area is youth work, youth employment, and human rights education.
