About Organization
Nexes is a non-profit organisation born in 1999 and based in Barcelona. The team of Nexes consits of the youth workers, trainers and practitioners in non formal education and European programs, who joined together for their common ideals and interest in dialogue between cultures, the mobility of young people as a learning tool and active participation in the society. The main objective of our organisation is to promote intercultural learning and transnational cooperation, fight against social exclusion and boost active citizen participation, especially of young people. The European mobility programs for young people offer great opportunities for groups and individuals to get to know other cultures and people, to develop personally and/or professionally, to set up interesting initiatives, both locally and internationally, and to be more aware of their own identity. For this reason we are especially committed to raising awareness, promoting and training on these programs at the local level, through collaborations with other entities that work with young people in Barcelona and in the region; as well as internationally, through networks formed by European, South American and African entities.
