Our goal is to be a fully self-sustaining activity center and an example of good practice. Facing desertification, rising unemployment, demotivation, social isolation and the financial crisis in our region, we began the process of reinventing our own community at the local level and finding answers towards a more sustainable micro community for the future. By creating an inspiring model that can be applied in and in other communities, we hope to see this replicated elsewhere, based on our successes and failures throughout the process. At the local level we have introduced and opened doors for lifelong learning and non-formal education among the people of our rural community and we have increased the recognition of these areas in the community and its wider environment. From Calatayud we manage the design of the essence of the project, human resources in terms of recruitment, training and support before departure, agreements with partners (partnerships), accounting and finance, dissemination in the media and social media and collection of funds (fundraising). Our association has among its objectives to support workers who work or want to work, from different areas, with disadvantaged people in rural areas. People at risk of social exclusion due to depopulation, geographical difficulty of access to resources (including digital resources due to poor internet access); and other specific factors such as the inequality caused by being a woman, a young person, an old person, or having a migrant profile.
