AWO Landesverband Bremen e.V.

The AWO Landesverband Bremen e.V. is an approved central organisation of voluntary welfare. It has an impact on how social policies in the state of Bremen are designed, it comments on legal propositions and thus actively contributes to the solution of social problems in the region. Our aim is to establish sustainable social politics that add to the prevention of and the fight against social exclusion. Hence, we wish to enable as many people as possible to participate in society socially as well as economically. In the light of the organisation's historical background as part of the working class movement the lived values of solidarity, tolerance, freedom, equality and justice provide the basis for our actions. The consulting office for voluntary services of the AWO Landesverband Bremen e.V. is contact for all questions around voluntary services at AWO Bremen and AWO Bremerhaven. That includes the councel and support of volunteers during application processes as well as during their service. In addition to that, its work includes advising the volunteers' deployment locations. --- Die AWO Landesverband Bremen e.V. ist ein anerkannter Spitzenverband der Freien Wohlfahrtspflege. Sie nimmt somit Einfluss auf die Gestaltung der Sozialpolitik im Lande Bremen, nimmt Stellung zu Gesetzesvorhaben und wirkt so aktiv bei der Lösung sozialer Probleme mit. Unser Ziel ist eine präventive und nachhaltige Sozialpolitik, die dazu beiträgt, soziale Ausgrenzung zu vermeiden und zu bekämpfen. Durch unsere Arbeit wollen wir erreichen, dass so viele Menschen wie möglich am gesellschaftlichen und wirtschaftlichen Geschehen teilhaben. Vor dem geschichtlichen Hintergrund des Verbandes als Teil der Arbeiterbewegung bilden dabei die gelebten Grundwerte Solidarität, Toleranz, Freiheit, Gleichheit und Gerechtigkeit die Grundlage für die Ausgestaltung der alltäglichen Arbeit der AWO. Das Beratungsbüro Freiwilligendienste ist Ansprechpartner für alle Fragen rund um den Freiwilligendienst bei der AWO Bremen und Bremerhaven. Dazu gehört die Beratung und Begleitung von Freiwilligendienstleistenden im Bewerbungsverfahren und während ihrer Dienstzeit, ebenso wie die Beratung von Einsatzstellen
