The City Hall has five managment areas, and fifteen key departments that promote the design and development of vital spaces of the city like, education, culture, employment, training, or youth, among others. A great charcteristic from the Municipality is the aim to facilitate cohesion in the city. Having focus on gender-sensitive, interculturality, diversity, inclusion and participation, all the departments are coordinated in the development of public policies through a transversal model. In this sense, the main activities of the Youth Department are: - The promotion of spaces for youth, - The promotion, together with Employment Department,of job opportunities for those young people who are looking for employment. - The promotion, together with Citizen Participation Department, of active participation of youth through the the generation of associations. - The promotion of sports, healthy lifestyle habits, together with the Sport Department. - The promotion of economical support for training, grants to travel abroad learning languages and different cultures. - The promotion of Europeism, and its values In addition, the Municipality develops several activities in collaboration with the Rey Juan Carlos University, having indeed, a physical office in the Rey Juan Carlos University,as a point of information and assesment for youth.
