ALTERNATIVE EDUCATION ACADEMY

Alternative Education Academy is youth lead nonprofit, non-governmental organization established by active leaders from Kvemo Kartli Region, Georgia. 100% of the founders and the organization's staff members have done their EVS or ESC volunteering in different European organizations, with various project topics. The mission of Alternative Education Academy is to support local youth to become active and responsible citizens with after-school non-formal educational activities, organizing different kinds of alternative educational after-school clubs for the local youngsters with fewer opportunities, IDP kids, Day centers etc. Alternative Education AEA is trying to extend opportunities of local youth and children to self-express themselves in physical and intellectual fields, and actively participate by developing and implementing local youth projects, with their interests organize own clubs and share with other youngsters, to organize public campaigns like cleaning actions, eco actions with local and international volunteers. Since October 2015 AEA is involved in Sivique Service volunteering program with the support of the French government, already hosted 2 volunteers from France with the Civil Service program, who’ve been actively involved in organizational activities with local volunteers. Since December 2021 AEA is part of the AirBeam Swap program and actively works for air quality monitoring and environmental issues.
