ADRA Croatia, the Adventist Development and Relief Agency is a humanitarian organization active in Croatia since 1989 and part of the wider international ADRA network. ADRA mainly works in emergency response and disaster preparedness, poverty reduction and non-formal education of children and young people. In its emergency response sector, ADRA has been active in the Sisak-Moslavina county after the earthquakes of 2020, through building and renovating houses of the affected population. Throughout 2021 and 2022 it has been organizing non-formal education activities for children in the area of Petrinja and Glina. ADRA also has a volunteer centre in Donja Mlinoga (near Petrinja) which will serve as a central hub for activities in this area. Other activities include the distribution of food and non-food items to those in need (all areas of Croatia), promotion of health as well as creative and language workshops for refugees from the Ukraine.
