Women's Spaces NGO

"Women's Spaces" NGO was officially registered on 16 April, 2013 in the State Registry of RoA. The organization is based in Shirak Region, Gyumri city but reaches out to Tavush, Lori, Vayq, Syuniq and Yerevan regions for its activities. The vision of "Women's Spaces" is to build a society where gender equality prevails, where the women's rights are protected. It is a society where they equally benefit from opportunities and equally share the responsibilities in their families and the society. Our mission is empowering women to step as leaders in their communities and become capable of overcoming their own social and economic problems. Women's Spaces inspires them to get engaged in addressing issues that affect other vulnerable groups in our society, particularly disabled people and children. We believe that economic independence of women is key in achieving the mission we set, thus, projects with special focus on economic empowerment are planned to have the biggest share in our project portfolio. Strategy Three main strategic directions for are; 1. Career development and skill building among women and girls, 2. Empowering women entrepreneurs, 3. Eliminating discrimination against women.
