:: Who are we really? SYNCHRO is an idea that arose from a deep understanding of people's potential. The potential that is reflected in fostering innovation through the prism of space which provides an interactive and collaborative environment. An environment where cross-sectoral cooperation in the field of creative and technological industries is possible with the goal of growing our local community into an exciting smart city. A city that lives and where everyone wants to create and stay. SYNCHRO hub, as a platform for the development of generations of active people, is a meeting place for exceptional individuals, innovative startups, talented students, creative pupils, experienced experts, activists and researchers. SINHRO was founded on October 5, 2018, and since then it has been dedicated to space building, community gathering, developing a local coworking culture and knowledge exchange. Our SYNCHRO coworking hub currently operates on 120m2, and has all the possibilities and capacities for organizing workshops, trainings and courses. :: How it all started? SYNCHRO is an NGO, NFP association founded by a group of local activists being present in the national and local scene for over 16 and 26 years. Since our creation of the first local Youth Care Strategy 2007 in Serbia, we have more or less directly fought for changes at the local level, especially those related to creating resources needed for betterment and community development. However, every time we talked about resources, inevitably the same notion emerged from every conversation that ripped our ears - THE SPACE . We realized that the lack of space is a stumbling block for almost all activist actions in the city, especially those that are working on a long-term solution to a problem at the local level. "Coworking in a museum!" In the center, one step from the old industrial core of the city of Pancevo, we opened the door of one old house, a cultural monument from 1878, which was just waiting for us to breathe some new life into it. This one-storey building also has ambient values in the architectural heritage of Pancevo, and is an integral part of the protected whole of The Square of Liberty. In history, its floors are walked by literature modernists Milan Ćurčin and Branislav Nušić, and now it is home to an open community of innovators, entrepreneurs, creators and enthusiasts. By transforming a family home into a community hub, we have given it a new purpose, inserting new elements while still keeping warm reminders of the past. On the surface of 250 m2 and in the center of the City of Pancevo, SINHRO is a unique ecosystem that brings together all participants in innovation (individuals, startups, companies, professionals, institutions) and provides them with education, inspiration and strategy. Our main areas of operation are concentrated on education and training, development of digital society and creative economy in the Republic of Serbia, as well as on employment and entrepreneurial endeavors. SYNCHRO is fully integrated within the local civil society and media community in the City of Pancevo. Through project collaborations, we have successfully cooperated and networked with a number of prominent donors: UNDP, British Council, Trag Foundation, the European Commission and the Friedrich Naumann Foundation. :: Relevant programs of ours? Coworking space - 80m2 of comfortable coworking space with wifi, 15 dedicated individual and shared work stations, kitchen, lounge point, library, call room, meeting room, print point. All of this in a 140 year old house with preserved interior and a 40m2 equipped salon for workshops and presentations. Self-sustained by membership. POKUŠ.AI LAB - is a creative space where every child has the opportunity to fail, TRY again and succeed. It is a laboratory where you use modern learning technology, tools, robots, machines, a 3D printer and other learning elements and combine it with creativity, knowledge and adventure. Our first Creators course was held for 3 months with a group 10 participants, age 11-13 years.. Ranko Trifković created the program and facilitated the course for SYNCHRO.
