About Organization
ARSIS – Association for the Social Support of Youth is a Non Governmental Organization, specializing in the social support of vulnerable youth and the advocacy of their rights. Our main goals are the prevention of youth marginalisation through our services and advocacy efforts and the promotion of active citizenship through volunteerism. Established in 1992, ARSIS operates its headquarters in Athens and Thessaloniki and offers services throughout Greece. Our vision is a society of equal opportunities for all young people with respect towards their rights, as outlined in Greek and International Law, especially the UN Convention for the Rights of the Child. ARSIS offers its services to young individuals who live under conditions of poverty, neglect, abandonment, domestic violence, conflict, exploitation, racism and discrimination, trafficking, institutionalisation, refuge, or homelessness. Our services include: - psycho-social support, - accommodation (though shelters and supported independent living apartments), - legal support, - career counselling, - non-formal and informal education, including sports and artistic activities, and - human rights education. ARSIS implements a wide variety of European projects, including AMIF, Horizon, Erasmus+, ESC (as a host organisation), ESF, and Interreg.
