Seferihisar Necat Hepkon High Schoo

Seferihisar has many historical and cultural sites and it is the first district partipating in Cittaslow movement in Turkey in 2009. It has been a model of sustainable city since then. Seferihisar Necat Hepkon Secondary School aims at raising individuals who have contemporary, creative and critical thinking skills, are keen on learning and global citizens that the developing world needs. The student population comes from both the center and rural areas of Seferihisar. The school features educational spaces such as 17 classrooms; Physics, Chemistry and Biology Laboratories, Visual Arts and Music classes, a Library, a multipurpose conference hall, sport areas in the school yard, and a canteen that can serve 300 people at the same time. Our school has White Flag, Nutrition Friendly School and My School is Clean certificates from the MoNE. Our students are divided into classes in 11th and 12th grades according to their field of interest. Our school offers 4 different syllabuses namely; Science, Turkish-Mathematics, Social Sciences and Foreign Languages. The projects and competitions carried out in our school are as follows: - TÜBİTAK (Turkish Scientific and Technological Research Institution) 4006 Project - Philosophy-Mathematics-Science (Physics-Chemistry-Biology), Turkish Language and Literature, Erasmus Days (English) competitions among high schools - Table Tennis District Winner - Third Place in İzmir Province - İzmir City Championship in Taekwondo for both girls and boys - The third place in the semi-final of Turkey Taekwondo Championship - İzmir City Championship for Girls in Arm Wrestling Tournament
